COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a novel coronavirus. Most infected suffers mild to
moderate respiratory illness and recover without any special treatment. senior citizens and
people with medical sufferings are more likely to develop serious illness.
Before all of this had started, students were preparing themselves for their final exams and
some had started their new session.
Education system have suffered a lot economically and socially, most of the governments
around the globe have closed educational institutions.
The impact was more severe for vulnerable and disadvantaged children and their families,
causing interrupted learning, compromised nutrition, childcare problems, and consequent
economic cost to families who could not work.
Besides its negative aspects it has changed the traditional educational system and paved the
way for digital education.
Apart from physical health, depression and anxiety are common mental health problems
experienced by university students which can impair students’ academic performance and social
functioning. spending a lot of time on screen is causing bad eye sight, laziness and lack of
personal interaction and social skills.
Some apps has been developed to provide daily work for workers, and government had
developed ‘setu’ app to check the symptoms and to stay alert from infected person.
E- education has been initiated by replacing traditional learning which gained a huge coverage.
Not only online teaching but study materials are also provided online to prevent spreading of
coronavirus.
Covid-19 has drastically depleted our economy causing weakened educational and health
system.
